I not only believe wholeheartedly in the fundamental principles of Naturopathic Medicine such as “identify and treat the cause” and “treat the whole person” but also that people deserve and need a safe place to heal and be heard. In my private family practice, Healing From Within Healthcare, my passion lies in developing a relationship with a person and their health through listening, having good clinical acumen, applying comprehensive natural medical care, and individualized support.
I combine my extensive knowledge in both Western and natural medicine with the belief that there are no standard “textbook” treatment regimes or protocols. I understand that everyone is different and that health is influenced by a variety of contributing factors, dictating that people deserve individualized and focused care. In a typical first visit, I sit with my patients intently to truly get their “story,” needs, and concerns as well as present symptoms, family history, past medical history, current medications, diet, lifestyle, and emotional and psychosocial stress and so much more.
Initial Visit: This is an extensive and comprehensive visit lasting approximately 60 minutes, which initiates the therapeutic relationship. A complete health history and any necessary physical exams are completed. If there is laboratory testing that might be helpful to rule in or out possible conditions or contributing factors to the case, those will be decided here as well. The patient leaves this visit with a clear plan on the steps needed to take toward their health goals and desires.
**Please bring any medications or supplements that you are taking into the initial visit
Follow up Visit: This is a return visit lasting approximately 30 minutes. This visit allows time to review any laboratory results and assess the initial part of the plan to guide the process to the next steps.
Phone Consultations: For those who are not in the local area, I do consult throughout the country and internationally. I treat these visits just like office visits with the same intent and fee schedule. I do request a short interview to make sure that the long distance relationship will be in the patient’s best interest and/or I also try to help find a doctor locally.
